4,083 Bangladeshi intruders in Orissa

In a survey conducted across the state, Orissa government had identified a number of 4,083 intruders in the state.The report says 48 intruders have been deported out of the state in the last 7 years.
The report was presented by Chief minister Naveen Pattanaik in the assembly session.He also stated that out of 30 districts , only 25 districts has s far identified the intruded Bangladeshi from 2002.Five states are yet to produce their identification list of Bangladeshi intruders in their territory.
After completion of identification list, the state government will take necessary steps to make these intruders stay out of the state territory in consultation with the central government.17 Bangladeshi families have taken refuge in the territory and have filed a writ petition to assure their stay.It has been confirmed by the sources that government willn’t take any steps against these families.
