Common Entrance Test is declared invalid

The decision of private engineering colleges to conduct common entrance test for fill up of vacant seats has been rejected by govt. on monday.
There has been a vacancy of nearly 9,000 seats in the private engineering colleges even after conducting Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) twice this year.Orissa Private Engineering College Association(OPECA) has declared to conduct Common Entrance Test(CET) in notification from supreme court. But Orissa govt. is in clash with OPECA in this decision. The government has filed a case in high court earlier in oppose to OPECA of conducting CET in the state.
According to the BPUT Vice-chancellor, any kind of entrance test , without the permission of Orissa government is invalid as per Supreme court’s decision, as the court has already directed for admissions only through Joint Entrance Examination.

Orissa Govt – BPUT – OPECA (CET)
This news makes me so irritating…
I don’t think there is nothing wrong in the Opeca move to carry their entrance test for the unfilled seats. If BPUT failed to get the students then this is the only alternate move for the OPECA institutes.
Opeca is doing well.
